About me
Welcome — I’m Sam Wilson, a part-time textile artist.
What started as a way to unwind after my day job has grown into a lasting creative practice. I discovered textile art a few years ago after coming across similar work online. I’d never seen anything quite like it, and something immediately clicked. I taught myself the techniques and began developing my own distinctive style.
My work is also a way of staying connected to my mother, and my aunt, both talented embroiderers. Their skill and love for the craft continue to influence everything I make.
This website exists so I can keep creating, experiment with new designs, and share my work beyond my increasingly limited storage space.
All pieces are overseen by my very serious Creative Director, Mr. Meowgi, (pictured below) who inspects each artwork with a sniff and a chin rub.
I create contemporary, minimalist textile pieces designed to bring a subtle sense of play to your walls. My aim is to make work that feels uncomplicated, approachable, and easy to live with.
I work full-time, so most of my art is made in the evenings and on weekends. If something you’re looking for is out of stock, feel free to email me or message me on Instagram — I’ll always do my best to help.
